It’s hard to describe this. The premise is that present day tv historians have unearthed a Romanian detective/propaganda series from the 1980’s and have dubbed it into English using famous present-day actors — Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon Levitt voice the leads. The “original” is super-cheesy, overacted with bad effects and casual violence. The dubbing is also overacted and overwrought. It is occasionally funny, occasionally smart, but rarely interesting. It was amusing to have on in the background while I worked on something else.
