Follows four high-level lieutenants of the NXIVM cult as they realize that it isn’t the wonderful self-help organization that they thought, leave, and then work to bring the organization and its leader down. Thought-provoking about how seemingly intelligent people got suckered by a manipulative sociopath for years and came to accept stranger and more extreme requests (including branding) with hardly a question, and the introspection and pain that they go through as they come to grips with their own actions. Starts a bit slow, but becomes compelling. A focus is the actress, Catherine Oxenberg’s, efforts to get her daughter, India, out of the cult.
