The first few episodes are so confusing the only reaction can be “dafuq???” But it is compelling, with interesting characters, so hang on – the pieces start fitting together and wrap up in a perfect egg of a story. Worth the price of admission just to learn about the Black Marshall – Bass Reeves, who was a real person — and about the Tulsa Race Massacre. This is only one perfect short season, so any more information would spoil the experience.
